Broccoli Cilantro Pesto over Rigatoni Todays Moxie

Pesto done a new way! This pesto recipe uses broccoli, cilanto, pine nuts and a serrano pepper. Serve it room temperature over rigatoni with fresh vegetables and kalamata olives.


Broccoli Cilantro Pesto

  • 2 broccoli heads
  • 1/4 - 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 bunch of cilantro (stems and leaves)
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • 1 serrano pepper
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • salt to taste


  1. Steam the broccoli and drain
  2. Place all of the ingredients in a food processor and process until blended
  3. Make the pasta using package direstions.
  4. Serve pesto over pasta and top with fresh veggies of your choice.
  5. Enjoy!
