Today's Moxie is a food, fashion/beauty, fitness and DIY blog dedicated to the idea of being the best version of yourself that you can be. I encourage people to love themselves for who they are while making the most of their lives through daily life choices.
This is my story
When I was a kid I was fascinated with cooking and used to stand by the stove to watch my mom nightly. Being a teacher, she was real good about taking the time to explain all the steps of what she was doing and why. in no time at all she was putting me to work preparing salads and more. That is how I first learned to cook.
Although I didn't know it at the time, my father also helped by planting a garden every year. I didn't care shucking corn and peas or the few other things he had my brother and I do but I soaked up a good bit of knowledge anyway. Although I don't have a garden I still remember much of what I learned about growing vegetables and how to get them to the table.
Other passions of mine included art and athletics. I was in heaven any day in school when gym or art class was on the schedule.
Things haven't changed much today. I still l love to cook, go to the gym, practice yoga as well as take every opportunity I can to be creative. For the past decade I have worked from home as a graphic designer building marketing materials for companies all over the country.
While I still love what I do, recently I felt as though something was missing. it was time to take on a new adventure, spread my wings and fly. After much thought and research I decided to start blogging about my favorite things, and Today's Moxie was born.
This blog keeps me in check and is helping me to be the best version of myself that I can without expectation of the results.
Getting this blog started has been a challenging and exciting process. I go to bed and wake up every morning excited about where this journey will take me.
Special thanks to my parents and closest friends for their kind words and encouragement as I attempt to get this thing off the ground.
